The Freak Accident: An Exercise in Humility

The Freak Accident

I’m not the sort of guy who people hear and think, “he’s got a voice for radio!” I may have a face for radio, but that’s another matter entirely. ;)

Anyway, it was with much trepidation that I pitched in on this week’s episode of The Freak Accident. I still haven’t listened to my own bits! Nicole says I did okay… alright, what she said was that it wasn’t terrible. I choose to interpret that as a compliment.

So give it a listen, especially ‘cuz Jeremy does a good job of cleaning up the mess at the end! (Dunkin’ Donuts dubbing Pluto “The Munchkin Planet” is a stroke of genius — like “Mad Scientist” genius.) :)

    “WKIDeeelicious!!” :)

I would have liked to see some more cross-talk between you and Josh, but hopefully you’ll get more chances to guest-star.

TONY STARK BLEACHES HIS HAIR?! (What about his mustache?)

Next time more cross-talk (maybe there’s a way we can record at the same time! ;) ) and recording at a time when we’re not trying to not wake our family up (did that make sense?)

Yes, I don’t think that it didn’t make any sense. :)

I wasn’t aware that you weren’t recording at the same time!
(Consider me wowed by the nicely done editing)

Travis, next time I want you to read Genesis, okay?
And I’ll write another story of “Kevin and Melissa”. :p

Yeah, I was thinking of that Genesis stuff the whole time I was recording. ;) You should try a Kevin and Melissa podcast — I think there’s a wide open market for “olde timey radio” stuff like that. The non-fiction podcasts are pretty much all there is out there right now.

I think you guys did great - the audio levels needed some work, but hey, first time is a good way to learn. :)

By the way, I never got around to thanking you for hosting, did I?

Podcasting DOES need some cool old timey stuff. That would rock. :)
