(My) Church History
Dan Edelen just posted a list of the churches he’s attended (for at least three months) over the course of his life. I thought that was pretty interesting, so I’m gonna do the same!
Now I’m about half Dan’s age, so I’ll bold the congregations where I spent at least one and a half years (as opposed to Dan’s three):
- Clearfield Bible Church (Westminster, MD)
- Church of the Open Door (Westminster, MD)
- Faith Community Bible Church (Westminster, MD)
- Gettysburg Baptist Church (Gettysburg, PA)
- Carroll Community Church (Eldersburg, MD)
- Littlestown Chapel - Outreach for Christ (Littlestown, PA)
- Calvary Bible Church (Hanover, PA)
- Cornerstone Church of Knoxville (Knoxville, TN)
- Hanover Valley Presbyterian Church [PCA] (Hanover, PA)
- Chesapeake Community Church (Joppa, MD)
Huh. And I thought for sure I had spent more time at some of those!
Thanks for the new meme, Dan!

Hey, Carroll Community Church is now called Life Point I think!

LifePoint… ugh.
It’s funny how many non-denominational churches have names that sound like retirement homes and rehab centers.

So true.
Funny thing . . . when we moved to Columbus, the church we were really considering joining other than Grace Central was called “LifePoint” as well. (They’re SBC trying to look non-denominational. ;-))

Life Point?!
I think it would be fun to make a list of all the churches we’ve visited from Littlestown to Chesapeake…

01.02.07 Hey, Hey! Went to the service there on New Year’s Eve day for the 10:30 gathering. I can’t go to church though, ever! You see, I am one of the enlightened one’s. I am the church.
I always try to hang around folks where I grow the most, the fastest.
