There’s my boy! :)

Daddy’s been busy making preparations for the little guy, and Katie has offered her booster seat to her little brother — on the condition that she can sit in a “big chair” at the kitchen table, of course.

Meanwhile, “Shu-shu” (Katie insists on calling him that!) has been happily kicking his mommy for a few weeks now, and Katie and Daddy have written our first song about him:

Little brother Shu-Shu />Crawling ‘cross the ‘partment />Scooping up the dollies />And bopping ‘em on the head!

(Along came the big sister and she said…)

Little brother Shu-Shu />I don’t want to see you />Scooping up my dollies />And bopping ‘em on the head!

I’ll give you three more chances, />And if you don’t behave, />I’ll tell Mommy on you!

Katie and Daddy wrote the song? I think not…! It was Mommy and Daddy, thank-you-very-much.

You sure about that? I distinctly remember giggles as Mommy’s main contribution… ;)

Well, what did Katie contribute?! ;)

    Like, the whole first line!

I’d been talking about “Shoe” as a nickname, but she’s the one who said “little brother Shu-Shu” and sparked the idea!

Your little guy has quite an arm. I pray he grows strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. May the right arm that shows in this sonogram so prominently be a sign of the help he gives to you both and the gifts of administration and serving.

As for the song, what talent has emerged from your family!

Glad he looks like his mother. If he looked like you you would be in trouble!! In all seriousness, we are happy for you.

So there’s a 50 percent chance that he’ll inherit the syndrome. I will pray that he is among the 50 percent who don’t inherit it.

    Cassie,

Finally! I was wondering if you’d thrown away the paper or something! ;)

Hey everyone, this here’s a cousin of mine, so be nice! :)

If you really want to start one, Blogger’s great for a first-timer: just visit blogger.com and you can get one set up for free in just a few minutes! (Forget that Xanga junk… I don’t know what Nick sees in it.) You could also try WordPress (that’s what I’m using) for free at wordpress.com, but I have to admit that Blogger is easier. WordPress is definitely geek territory!
